How the Wakala Investment works

Muzn’s Wakala Investment is based on the Islamic concept of Wakala Bil Istithmar. Under this concept, you become the Principal (Muwakkil) and the Bank (Muzn) becomes the Investment Agent (Wakeel) of your funds.

Muzn invests these funds in Shari’a-compliant financing and investment activities.

 The targeted profit earned from such investments is distributed to the customers upon maturity of the account. Muzn (as Wakeel) deducts its agreed agency fee (Wakala fee) and pays the targeted profit amount along with the principal funds to the customers as per the terms of the Wakala agreement at maturity.

How to Apply

You can open Muzn Wakala investment Account with the minimum balance requirement of OMR 1,000. To complete the account opening process, please visit the following branches with your national ID Card/Passport and the rest will be taken care of by your Relationship Manager at the bank^*.
